The biggest occasions need the best video.
We worked with the Teddy Sourlis to produce an emotion-packed video highlighting the MEN'S X MENTAL Shore Showcase.

The Men’s X Mental Showcase is more than just a basketball event—it’s about starting conversations and raising awareness for men’s mental health. Capturing that message the right way mattered, so we took a two-part approach.
Short-form video
A fast-paced, high-energy edit designed for social media. Quick, engaging, and built to grab attention while highlighting the event’s purpose.

Long-form video
A deeper look into the showcase, featuring full game highlights, key moments, and the bigger picture behind the event. Perfect for those who want to experience the showcase in its entirety.
Each video serves a different need—one to pull people in fast, the other to give them the full story. The goal was simple: make sure the impact of this event lasts beyond just game day.

CAPTURING THE ESSENCE OF A SPECIAL NIGHT

Recently, ASalvoCreative had the opportunity to highlight an incredibly special night. Teddy Sourlis, CEO and founder of the non-profit organization MEN’s X MENTAL was to be honored at a New Jersey cocktail hour geared towards mental health awareness. Shore House organized the "Beacon of Hope" cocktail reception, an important night in Sourlis's life, and our job was to capture this moment in a video produced for Instagram.

Before arriving at the shooting location, our videographers planned Mr. Sourlis's arrival time and location to ensure we could capture an engaging hook for the video. The shots were filmed in a neutral color profile, with the intention of bringing back high-contrast and dark color in post-production, which matched the look of the MEN'S X MENTAL brand.
Our videographers worked to capture the elegant vibe of the event, with the focus remaining on Sourlis as he greeted other attendees, posed for photographs, and ultimately received the Community Inspiration Award. We equipped our camera with RODE microphones to capture Sourlis's acceptance speech in ultra-high quality. The speech would be the main audio track for most of the video. As the two-hour event concluded, we reviewed our shots-list one last time to ensure that all necessary A and B rolls had been captured.
The editing process involved enhancing the contrast and deepening the colors to align with the MEN'S X MENTAL brand's aesthetic. Special attention was given to the sound design, ensuring that Sourlis's speech was crystal clear and seamlessly integrated with the visuals. The video begins with a dynamic shot of Teddy Sourlis arriving at the venue, setting an engaging tone. We used slow-motion clips of Sourlis interacting with guests, shaking hands, and sharing smiles to highlight the warm and supportive atmosphere. To emphasize the importance of the event, we included close-up shots of the award itself, adding a detailed touch to the entire project.
Teddy Sourlis was extremely pleased with the final product, and the video performed exceptionally well once uploaded to his social media accounts. It was a pleasure to work with MEN'S X MENTAL to document such a special night, and we are proud to have been able to do so.
